A child picks up the first block and turns it over, looking for the way in. The arms of the X seat into the block below and hold, and that is the whole lesson: nothing here needs glue, tape, or a grown-up's hand steadying the tower.

By the second morning the flat mat on the rug has become a wall, then a corner, then a column that climbs past the builder's own shoulder. Forty-eight blocks is enough for two or three children to work on one structure and still disagree about which way it should lean.

We love the quality and longevity of these products. It was an investment but will be used for our grandchildren and beyond.

Larger than expected

Wow! These blocks have some heft to them. They're finely crafted and will easily become fast favorites.

Perfect open ended toy

Love that these can be used to stack, build fences, used for ball runs, anything you can imagine! Also appreciate the half sets!

Fun for walls with cubes and ball runs with slats

These x blocks are perfect for making window walls and for using with gluckskafer slats to make ball runs! Versatile and fun for both myself and my child!

X-bricks

We received the half set recently. My Toy Wagon did a great job packaging with care and I'm so happy it arrived in time for my LO's birthday. She took to them immediately, and likes putting the cubes inside the x's. I wanted to try the half set first. I do wish I would have gotten the tray for them.

are the small colored blocks included?

My Toy Wagon

Hi! They are actually sold separately, either in a set of 20 (https://mytoywagon.sbs/products/bauspiel-lucent-cubes-set-of-20) or a set of 100

Bauspiel Bauspiel is Uwe Deckelmann and his daughter Hanna. 'Bauspiel' means 'building game' in German, and the line grows out of Friedrich Fröbel's kindergarten tradition of simple forms that ask nothing and allow everything. The wood is native European lime, alder and beech, with maple and cherry from sustainable cultivation, colored and oiled so the grain stays visible and the soul of the wood remains perceptible. The acrylic and gems come from Taiwan or China. Everything is quality-checked and shipped from Augsburg, Germany.
