A child fits a sparkling window into the wall of a growing castle, then turns the tower toward the light to see color spill across the table. Nearby, others reach for matching pairs, testing which shapes balance and where the glimmers land. At the block table a village of glowing towers and little cottages takes shape as children trade windows and rebuild. The pieces move easily between structures, so one story can grow and change all afternoon.

Bauspiel Bauspiel is Uwe Deckelmann and his daughter Hanna. 'Bauspiel' means 'building game' in German, and the line grows out of Friedrich Fröbel's kindergarten tradition of simple forms that ask nothing and allow everything. The wood is native European lime, alder and beech, with maple and cherry from sustainable cultivation, colored and oiled so the grain stays visible and the soul of the wood remains perceptible. The acrylic and gems come from Taiwan or China. Everything is quality-checked and shipped from Augsburg, Germany.
